Starting the Week with Thanks

There's always a lot to be thankful for and sometimes you're just as thankful for things that don't happen as you are for thing that do.
I'm very grateful that when the wind blew down the top half of the cottonwood tree on Saturday night, it didn't fall on my neighbour's truck, or my neighbour!  It looks like the squirrel and the birds that were living in it got away OK.

I'm grateful for the Global Music Fest Saturday night where we enjoyed Kytami, an "extremist violin" player and her band and danced the rest of the night away with the latin band Matacote.

I'm grateful for my friend Janet who invited us to join her and her hubby for the evening.

I'm grateful to be feeling much better this afternoon than I did at 3 a.m. this morning.

I'm grateful for Jamie MacLean of K9 Kardio for taking the dogs at short notice, I just could not have dealt with them this morning.

I'm grateful for my neighbour who loaned us his chainsaw so we could get the tree cut down, loaded onto the truck and off to the dump Sunday afternoon.
