Walking in Spring

I just didn't have it in me to walk up the hill to Mission Ridge yesterday afternoon.  I know it's better for me - that uphill is a good cardio workout - but it was a low energy day.  In fact I had not one, but two naps yesterday morning.  I was reading a book at breakfast and I could barely keep my eyes open so I lay down on the couch for a while.  When I woke up I grabbed my book again, and again I found myself drifting off so I had another little nap.  When I rose from that nap, I felt infinitely better  ...but I digress.  So instead of walking the dogs up to the top of the ridge, we walked up the new leg of Gordon Drive.  We crossed the street slipped through the black metal gate and into the woods, following the rocky path along Bellevue Creek that ends at the pond near Wally's farm.  Golden wood, charred remains, buds and blossoms inspired me to take a few shots with my iPhone.  Here's what turned out.
