Kaua'i Redux
We visited the island of Kauai in March 2014 and it's the first place we've been that we figured we'd come back to some day. We couldn't resist Westjet's great deals on flights, so Kauai is where we chose to celebrate our 30th anniversary last month.

Lovelocks migrate to Kauai...
Our hike takes us to the top of Wiamea Falls shown here.
You'll see us in later photos walking along the red sand ridge to the left of the waterfall
If taken at the same time, the photo below would show us on that ridge.
At the top of the Wiamea Falls.
And here I recall the sad truth - what goes down, must go up.
Looks like we made it!
If you've been on any tropical island with a chicken issue, you get it.
The parrot whisperer
Taro fields
We hiked a very short portion of the Kalalua trail along the Napali Coast
Friday night Art Walk in Hanapepe
Painted by pigs and sold as a fundraiser.
The river meets the sea near Port Allen.
On our last visit, we did a helicopter tour of Kauai and the Napali coast. This time we did a catamaran sunset dinner cruise to get a different perspective of the rugged Napali coastline.
Last beach day on Kauai spent at Salt Pond Beach
