Pocketful of Memory Cards

While looking through some photos I realized I had not posted these two on my blog, only on my Facebook page.  Since the extended family members aren't on Facebook I though I would post these now.  The first photo was taken in the summer of 1998.  The.recent photo was taken when my son was visiting us this July (2015).  It's probably the last summer we will spend in this house so I wanted to re-create it for posterity.

On Tuesday, my daughter received her diploma from the University of British Columbia. On Wednesday I was moving documents to my new computer when I stumbled upon a verse I'd copied from a card my mom gave Nicole when she graduated from high school.  I thought I'd post it today along with some photos of my Mom.  Today, is the fourth anniversary of her passing. An impulsive post featuring some of the Moms in my life. Thank you to my family and children for teaching me how to be Mom.

Just had to capture three generations of Youngs together while Grandpa was visiting.  Reg will be 97 next month and is still fairly independent and crochety. This was taken shortly before his son drove him to the airport at the end of our visit.
