Pocketful of Memory Cards

I was sorting through photos and slides today and came across this picture of my Mom taken Christmas 1971.  Even with the garish floral print on the couch and the busy pattern on the dress grabbing your attention, you can't help but be drawn to her beautiful smile.  Love the "Breck Girl" hairdoo!

My mom and sister early 1970's. With the busy season upon us my blog is reverting to it's original intent:  a daily photo with a brief description. And to give myself another break, I'm introducing Time Travel Tuesday where I'll be selecting Christmas memories from younger pockets.  Hope they remind you of your own special Christmases!

It's hard to surprise my Mom, but her friends sure did when they showed up en mass for a housewarming party after my parents moved into their first house, circa 1970.  It was  a two story, three bedroom with a rumpus room and it cost a whopping $15,000.  Those were the days my friends!
