Pocketful of Memory Cards

I was driving home a couple of weeks ago when something deep in the field on the north west corner of Gordon and Old Meadows Road caught my eye.  Today I had the time to stop and take a photo. It looks kind of like an apiary but not like any apiary I've seen before.  To be honest I've only seen one apiary before so I guess I'm really not an expert.  If you have any other suggestions, let me know.

There's something I love about bumblebees.  They're just so big and juicy compared to honey bees and they look like they're covered in soft yellow fur. Years ago, I heard someone say that aerodynamically, bumblebees shouldn't be able to fly, but since they don't know, they do anyway.  In the back of my mind, I felt it couldn't be true, but it didn't know any better, so I repeated the story anyway. Today I Googled it and guess what?  It is kinda true.  It's too complicated to explain here, but Ask Dr. Galapagos is a good place to start if you're curious.  

Pitou and I treaded carefully amongst the garden patches behind the CNC this morning.  Those luscious plants and colourful flowers and veggies were begging for some attention from the paparazzi.  I could only oblige.
